Join us this for our Sunday meeting!

Are you looking for a church near you? We love Sunday meetings and ours are easy to access wherever you live in Newcastle or Gateshead. Every week we gather as a family to worship & encounter Jesus, and everyone is welcome. We would love you to find a place to call home here!

What to expect

Our Sunday church meeting starts at 10:30am we worship together through songs and taking communion, then hear teaching from the Bible and finish with some space to pray and reflect on what you have heard that morning. Our church meeting finishes at 12:15am. You can expect a brew and a very warm welcome when you arrive, and at the end most people stay around for a time to chat and connect as a church family - we’d love for you to stay around to say hello, again over drinks and snacks.

Absolutely anyone and everyone is welcome to join us, whatever your background, beliefs or you could have been to church a hundred times or never in your life - we’d love to see you this coming Sunday!

What about kids?

Children and families are a core part of The River Church Newcastle, we want people to find their home with us, no matter their age! River Kids runs on a Sunday for children aged 1-11.

Children stay in the meeting for the first part of worship and then head downstairs to “The Mog room” on floor 6 for worship and teaching tailored to them (with a lot of fun, games and snacks thrown in!) You can find more information on our kids page.

How to find us?

Join us this Sunday at 10.30am at Seven Stories in Ouseburn, Newcastle city centre.

Our Sunday meetings are held at Seven Stories in Ouseburn, just outside Newcastle City Centre (click for directions), if you’re coming by car there is free parking at Ouseburn Central Car Park on Foundry Lane, or on-street on Lime Street. There is paid parking under the arches. We’re a short walk from the city and are easy to get to on public transport too - click the button below for all travel info.

FAQS

  • What time should I arrive?

    The service starts at 10.30am, but come any time from 10.15am - we’d love to welcome you with a hot drink and some snacks and get to know you a little bit before we start.

  • How do I get there?

    We meet at Seven Stories center for children’s books, NE7 2PQ every Sunday on Floor 7. It’s a tall white building with a glass front in Ouseburn on Lime Street which is hard to miss.

    There is parking on the road with disabled spots just outside, or paid parking under the arches. Foundry Lane car park is a 5 minute walk away and is also free. We’re easily accessible by bus or metro - find out more here

  • What do I wear?

    Our meetings are relaxed and informal, so please wear whatever you're most comfortable in. Football shirts or formal Sunday wear welcome!
