EASTER
God has been speaking to us recently about being a people who go where He leads. As Moses did in the desert, following Him as he leads us with pillar of fire and cloud.
He has been encouraging us to slow down, wait on his timing and drawing us out into a spacious place.
We have planned our Easter events with this in mind.
This Easter weekend rather than planning a big church Sunday at Seven Stories, we will be spending time as Jesus did with his disciples, breaking bread around the table, laughing, connecting, praying, walking, worshiping and meeting new people so if you’ve never visited The River Church Newcastle before, it’s the perfect time to come along!

Good Friday
6:30am | Morning Prayer
Join us on Zoom as we spend the first moments of our day in prayer and worship to the God who laid everything down for us
We'll meet in the main car park and end with lunch together at Woodhorn Grange Cookhouse if you fancy some scran. The path is buggy friendly and it should be a nice flat easy walk around the lake. Friends, family, dogs, everyone welcome! Directions here.
10:30am | Walk at Queen Elizabeth II Country Park
8-9pm | Worship night at Joe & Maya’s
A time of worship and reflection as we recount the story of good Friday together, feel free to arrive anytime from 7:30. Directions here.
Easter Sunday
It'll be a great time to celebrate the Easter story and spend time together as a family. We’ll be having an informal meeting in Rick & Cheryl’s house, dwelling on the goodness of God in the Easter story and finishing with a pulled lamb lunch. This will start at our usual Sunday time of 10:30 and will finish after lunch around 12:30 but you’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like. If you have any dietary requirements please get in touch.
